Just before I left Marathon they rolled out a Sygate firewall client to all machines. I wasn't involved, but it appears to let you set up at multiple centrally-administered configs for the client. Marathon built one for use while connected to the internal network, and one for use when connected to external networks. Sygate calls the product "Sygate Secure Enterprise" The built-in XP firewall (at least as of SP2) allows for two configs also, one whle connected to the domain to which the machine belongs and the other for use while unconnected. You can see that by running gpedit.msc and navigating to Computer Settings->Administrative Templates->Network->Network Connections->Windows Firewall. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 396/45 106/2000 633/267 |
