subject: A FAMILY UPDATE

A Big Hello To All,
I am so sorry it took so long, but I am back and here to give you an
update on the Kimball Family Condition. As usual, there is always good mixed
in with the bad, so I shall give you the good, and more important. My wife
Lin is coming along great. She had her last radiation treatment last Friday
and she needs no more. All she has to basically do know is take Tamoxofin
Twice a day. She is doing really good. Her hair is growing back and she's
getting her stregnth back, and begining to be more and more like her old
self. The doctor said the correct term right now is "in remission". It has
to be several years down the line when they can actually say cancer free.
However we feel that we have beaten it and with the wonderful help, prayers,
thoughts and support of my many friends here, we call it a VICTORY!! We know
there are always the posibility of a return, but we're looking at the good
and the heck with the bad!! We finally have something to be happy about. I
can't begin to thank all of you folks. You have been so important to us and
I know we could not have won without you all!! Thank you and bless you all.
Now for the bad-ME. I have not gone into the hospital yet for my
scheduled work. But that doesn't mean I haven't been in the hospital. I was
rushed there a couple of weeks ago. My intestines and insides got all messed
up. I was unable to do anything (bathroom wise). It was so bad I couldn't
even move because of the intense pain. The ambulance got me to the hospital
and the doctors say just in time. They said I was on the brink of uremic(?)
poisoning and to be blunt my insides were ready to explode. I had no advance
knowledge of any of this. It happened so quick. I got up, went to go to the
bathroom and BANG! That was it. I was in the hospital for over a week while
they did an amazing amount of very un-natural and uncomfortable things to me
to get the plumbing going again. I am doing much better now, but not really
back to normal yet. I apologize to you all for this particular subject
matter. But it was a truely horrible thing to go through. And then clumsy
me almost ended up in the ER again two nights ago. I went to move forward on
hospital bed and put my hand on a slick part of the bed and went flying head
over heels. A rather intricate sommersault. I hit something on my trip down
and managed to open a nice gash over my right eye, as well as several other
minor scratches. Rather than going to the hospital, as I know many of you
have also done, I taped it up myself and avoided the trip. The hardest thing
was actually getting me off the floor and back into bed. I felt like a
beached whale. But I finally made. My wife is now suggesting I put the
railings back on the bed!!
Well I want to appologize for taking up so much room but I wanted to give
you all a happy update for a change. I wish I could thank each and every
one of you personally for everything you've done for me and my family, but
I really can't do that so I thank you all. A few months ago things didn't
too good. Now, thank God we are doing so much better.
With that I sent my thanks and my thoughts to you all. And mostly, I send
a dash of love to each and everyone of you that showed so much care and
refused to let me give up. God Bless You! Please keep in touch folks.
    With Love, Bless you
           Jim
