Hallo John,
CM>> extremly seldom. You know I'm one of the guys that opens a dos window

JH> It's good to see I'm not alone.
I Know it helps a lot. :))
JH> The folks at work think I'm a computer
JH> geek becuase I prefer to drop to the command line to get things done.
JH> When GUIs make it easier to get things done, I'll switch....
Oh there are thing that could be done easier in a gui. It's just that I dont
know which they are.
JH> Which
JH> brings up another point, I have yet to get use working with a mouse.
There is nothing comparable to a mouse when doing graphic design or just
marking a spreadsheet area. It's a lot easier to look at something you point
to than to tab trough objects until you reach the one you like to change.
Even looking for the shortcut's does not make a mouse useless, but I still
prefer browsing throuh directories in commandlinemode and use all kind of
"zippers" with there desingned switches than with a gui where I do not know
what to do how. But that's is like the numeric block to the right. I use it
as cursorcontrol, because I'm used to it since 1983.
JH> I wished MicroSoft and IBM would design their GUI OS keyboard commands
JH> for folkse who prefers not using a mouse.
In win 3.1 You could do anything that could be done with a mouse with the
keyboard. Unfortunatly it's at least win95 you have to run now.....
JH> God bless Rex Conn and the JPSoft crew for bring us 4DOS! :)
Yep. Agreed. Though I would like to see some more rexx like features
implemented.....
