PROPOSAL TO PCANA

page, reporting to PCANA Public Information Sub+Committee.

1. DEFINITIONS
        B.P.I.G.: Basic Public Information Guide, printed by WSO and
        available on the WSO home page (WWW.WSOINC.COM), 
        pibasic.doc
        Graphics: A picture or image.
        Link: A direct tie in to related information.
        Provider: Company that supplies internet space.
        Web Page: A text and/or graphical informational listing
        accessible via the computer. 
2. PURPOSE
The purpose of this proposal is to show the feasibility of Pierce County Area 
setting up and maintaining a web page within
guidelines set by Region and WSO.
3. COST
The normal cost charged by the provider (Frugal.com) is $75.00 for web page 
set+up and $35.00 per month.  For a limited time Frugal Internet has agreed 
to waive the setup cost if one of our members will do the setup, this person 
has agreed to do so. Additionally this provider will waive our monthly charge 
so that,in keeping with our traditions, we will only have to pay a $5.00 per 
month donation.  This would include 1 megabyte of space (equivalent to 2 
Basic Texts).  There would be no additional per mailing charge.
4. TIME
The setup time involved, barring unforeseen complications would be 
approximately one week.
5. WHAT INFORMATION WILL BE INCLUDED
Information on this site would include a page for each of the following;
        Meeting schedule (to be updated monthly)
        Helpline information and number(s) (to be updated as
        needed).
        Upcoming activities each with the appropriate activity
        logo (to be updated as needed).
        Hospital and Institutions information to include
        facilities, meetings, etc. (to be updated as needed).
        Public Information information to include a statement
        of our primary purpose, text of "What is NA", and
        general information about our fellowship and how to
        find out more (to be updated as needed).
        Links to region, WSO, and other areas, as well as
        related information such as a national meeting list
        available only through internet link (to be updated as
        needed).  
6. CARETAKER
Someone would be voted on by the Public Information Sub-Committee to act as 
caretaker of the system and keep up with all updates. As of this time there 
is at least one person with the knowledge and ability to do this who would be 
willing to do so.  Updates,to include activities, meeting schedule, etc, 
would occur at least bi-weekly.
7. COORDINATION
The appointed member of PI who acts as caretaker would coordinate information 
for updates with Sub-Committee Chairs as needed (at least monthly).
8. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Ad Hoc Chair for this Sub-Committee has been coordinating with WSO in 
regards to this as well as their own home page (and was contributory in the 
development of WSO's home page).  This proposal is entirely within the 
guidelines established by WSO for Area web sites.  
The Ad Hoc Sub-Committee has also been coordinating with the Chair of the 
Regional Ad Hoc Sub-Committee for the regional web site, Bob L.  Bob has 
asked that each Area be responsible for it's own web site, so that links can 
be created with the
