This one could be interesting - I was setting up a system for a customer
today and "armoring" it - which includes adding Panicware's Popup
Stopper, for which we have a licence that allows us to give it to our
customers.

It installed and then launched the configuration wizard, during which one
of the things you do is request a license key and enter it. It comes via
e-mail.

Not this time... as soon as the wizard launched, it froze into "Not
Responding" status. It took out IE too. So I killed those off, and
relaunched IE. It went nowhere.

Rebooted. Launched IE. Nothing - IE would load, but it wouldn't even bring
up the home page.

Uninstalled Popup Stopper, which includes a reboot. IE comes up nicely.

Wash, rinse, repeat until I'm sure it's having Popup Stopper that is the problem.

Go tell my boss... and it ends up that his boss had a similar problem this
morning with IE not wanting to go anywhere, but it cleared up after a
couple reboots.

I decided against installing Popup Stopper... and what a cute marketing
ploy of MS, eh? You don't have XP - you don't get to stop Popups!
