-> Back in 1976 my boss leased a Continental Mark V. I KNOW it was a
-> Five, as I drove it on company busisness many times, and I know it
-> was a '76 'cause I leased a '76 Granada from the same leasing
-> company at the same time, we both got our cars in January of '76.
-> (I've still got the papers for mine).
->
-> Today I was visiting a friend who's restoring a Mark IV. I know it's
-> a FOUR, 'cause I've seen it, it says IV on it, and has the horizontal
-> taillights, rather than the vertical ones my boss's had.
->
-> YET, the doorplate on this IV says it was built in April 1976
-> ^^ ^^^^
->
-> Did production of the IV & V overlap, with BOTH being built
-> simultaneously, or am I in the twilight zone?
My 1976 Motor's Manual shows Mark III from 1969 to 1971, and Mark IV
from 1972 to 1976. Page 1-595 where they show the grilles...
I'll have one of whatever you're drinking!
