I'm a contracted writer for some magazines and although I read and re-read my
stuff, they still find errors in it. (that's why I enjoy gradually we are
abandoning the spelling police here)
What I find remarkable, especially in web-journalism, is how many
writing-errors there are ... spelling, grammar, style ... No money for an
editor-in-chief or at least a single person to proof-read.
In the past, articles had to be ready by a certain deadline and there was time
to maneuver, now they're press-ready when the author presses ". Five
seconds later you discern the greatest goof of all times in your own writings.
