| subject: | Re: Capture Program`s Window And Place On Desktop |
From: Gary Britt Yes that would be one way. I've thought about doing something similar by capturing the window at various times of the day and saving all to separate files and then using a macro to update the wallpaper every so often. I was wondering if there was a way to capture the screen of a program or place the screen window of a program in a more *live* way an active desktop live kind of way. Thanks, Gary mike wrote: > On Sun, 06 May 2007 14:18:29 -0400, Gary Britt > wrote: > >> Is it possible to capture the screen window of a program that is running >> locally on the machine in question as an html file or something so it can be >> displayed as the background desktop wallpaper on that same machine? > > Here's how I would do it with the stuff I have: > > 1) Alt-PrintScrn places an image of the active window onto the clipboard > > 2) open PMView, and Edit>Paste image from clipboard. > > 3) save image as jpg file > > 4) open jpg file in Opera, OMB and select Use image as desktop > > > There may be easier ways with other software. > > > >> Is it possible to make the link *live* so the desktop image updates >> periodically as the program's screen window updates? > > Dunno. > >> Is there a utility for this kind of thing? > > Probably. > > > /m --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
