I've been considering getting EchoFix to do some reverse work as well, eg use 
SQUISH.CFG and MSGAREA.CTL to build SQAFIX.CFG, or use MSGAREA.CTL to build 
what it can of SQUISH.CFG ;-) Might have to add that into the next version as 
well :-)

Sorry, I can't help you with that at all :-( I've never touched *anything* to 
do with the up/download protocols on a Max system, other than to set the 
default! :-)
