Operation RETURN FIRE 96 is a grassroots effort to protect our gun
rights by aiding the re-election of our friends and the defeat of our
enemies.  We seek to identify the KEY races, ones where a pro-gun
candidate is facing a close, but winnable race.  We are urging every
gun owner to "adopt" one such candidate and send him a campaign
contribution of twenty bucks, the price of a box of ammo.

"Ron Paul is the Republican nominee for the Fourteenth District, a
rural area between Houston and San Antonio.  You won't find a more
pro-gun candidate anywhere in America.  This is the one for the gun
rights movement to really jump up and down for."
Note:  Ron Paul was the Libertarian candidate for President in 1988.

The people at the Second Ammendment Foundation say:
"The Lower Hudson Valley's Nineteenth District (of NY) needs to
re-elect pro-gun freshman Republican Sue Kelly, who voted to repeal
the assault weapons ban despite vicious attacks from the New York
media.  The New York Right to Life Party may run a third party
candidate to drain votes from her, making her reelection bid all
the tougher."
The NRA's Tanya Metaska is scheduled to be guest of honor at a SUE
KELLY FOR CONGRESS fundraiser in Sept.

26th district, New York - Sue Wittig
The people at the Second Ammendment Foundation say:
"The Twenty-sixth district (of NY) made up of Ulster and Sullivan
Counties is the home of incumbent Democrat Maurice Hinchey, who had a
mixed record on gun control, voting for the Brady Bill and against the
assault weapons ban, and will face a serious contest from a more
pro-gun rights Republican."
Local pro-gun activists have been trying to dump Hinchey ever since he
voted for Brady.  He barely won a close race last time and he is
definitely vulnerable this time.
He is being opposed by Republican-Conservative Sue Wittig.
The NRA's Tanya Metaska was guest of honor at a FRIENDS OF SUE WITTIG
fundraiser in late July.
