I would like some information on an IC, NEC type D8748D.

It is a 40 pin IC with a window like a UV erasable EPROM.

I suspect it might be a microprocessor with internal EPROM.

If anyone can help, or maybe suggest a web site where I might get
data, it would be appreciated.
