I haven't come across any terminal emulation problems that were caused by
timEd itself, except for when timEd wants to display non-ASCII ( > 127)
characters in message texts or message headers.
The problems with terminal emulation that I have come across were caused
by a broken version of the "screen" program in FreeBSD, and Windows 2000
using the wrong code page in the Cygwin version (which was fixed by
running CHCP 1257).
