As I aside I was reading an old issue of Windows rag and the columnist was
complaing MS didn't offer a build-in virus scanner in their operating
systems.   How secure can Windows be without it?

Maybe Symantec is worried MS will do this in the near future and another
reason why they are becoming so diverse.
