   The good thing is that most patents can be coded around using the
appropriate techniques.   FOSS isn't like the Blackberry, which was held
hostage by the fact that the patent codearound required downtime and
potentially, a customer support call per customer.   They just code around
and re-release.

  Careful - George W regretted this phrase.  The only winners in this fight
will be lawyers.    Do you really want the $499 OS donation you made to all
go to the lawyers?
