Just finished:  HAT FULL OF SKY  by Terry Pratchett.
  Another of the "Discworld for children" books, though I don't see much 
  difference, other than the protagonist being 11 years old.  She's 
  obviously going to be a very powerful witch, because she gets to Answer 
  Back to -Granny Weatherwax-...  A few more laughs in this one, too.
Just finished:  GRIM TUESDAY  by Garth Nix, Vol. 2 in the "Keeper of the 
  Keys" series.  Couldn't put it down!
