Hmmm. Today's seven seas are the North Atlantic, South Atlantic, North
Pacific, South Pacific, Indian, Antarctic, and Arctic Oceans.

Not all of these were known 2000 years ago.

At that time, the Agean, Adriatic, Red (including the Dead and Sea of
Galilee), Arabian, Persian and Caspian Seas were in the vacinity of the
eastern Mediteranian Sea.
