I had problems once just reading files (EXEs and MP3s) copied to a standard
XP data CD, with very many sessions (?7).  The CD became unreadable on a 2k
machine and a 98 machine.  It read fine on both my XP (SP1) machines.  I
threw out the disk and burned across the network with Nero - no probs.
