Just right-click on the desktop, select New|Shortcut, then push the Browse
button and select explorer.exe from your Windows or WinNT or whatever
folder Windows is in.

I keep a Windows Explorer shortcut on the desktop of all my systems, and
have since W95.  It's the first thing I do when I have a new Windows
installation.
