I am currently working on a Diamond Pattern Throw (Knitting Digest May 1996)
and i swear by this pattern.I use it for a lot of baby blankets because I 
have never liked an open design...little fingers getting snagged,etc...and 
this pattern fits the bill--its closed and has a beautiful lifted diamond 
design.
As for the quilt..where it was my special item done up for my daughter,yes,I 
enjoyed making it.
