From: vwheeler

Last night I used the 250G Western Digital "Dual-option Backup"
drive as a USB drive. I booted from Acronis true image CD. The backup was
an image of several OS partitions containing about 100G of data. I started
the backup at 9:15PM it finished at 12:21AM (3.1 hrs) the size of the
compressed backup image files on the USB drive total 66.1G. As I see it I'm
getting a throughput of 22G/hr.

I have not done anything yet with the Retrospect backup software that came with it.
