Balanced columns should only be used to guestimate where the breaks
should go and then replaced with newspaper columns and manually inserted
breaks!!!!!

I would *never* do that. As a matter of fact, it's a personal crusade of
mine to teach anyone who will listen that there are such things as
indents and hanging ;-)
