From: Mike '/m' Over the holiday weekend I had a busman's holiday, and I had to do some repair work on my cousin's PC (ad ware trojans). He runs W98 (I think Me). The boot time to his desktop on his PC (128MB, 200MHz CPU) was about three times faster than my W2K system takes to get to the point where the hour glass goes away and I can Ctrl=Alt=Del to log in. /m On Wed, 29 Dec 2004 18:07:19 -0800, Ellen K. wrote: >It's still a lot faster than its predecessors, W9x takes forever. > >On Wed, 29 Dec 2004 17:39:32 -0500, Mike '/m' wrote in >message : > >> >>Well if you're type A+, then you definitely don't want to be waiting for W2K >>to boot up.
