One pays $10.00 (in 1992, could be more now) to the local indigenous
persons  for the priviledge of clambouring on the rock.  Luckily the
management at the Uluru Pub won't allow the LIPs to exchange it for grog
(at the elders' request).  Doesn't stop the LIPs pestering the tourists to
buy it for them though.

There is a plaque at the bottom listing the people who have died in the
attempt.  It is a very small plaque compared with the number of people who
have climbed the rock.  More people have been mugged in Redfern - should
they put a plaque there too?
