Which might have applied in his time, but then the entire earth wasn't
fully explored at that time. Today there are several 'seas' that make up
one ocean at a time.

Rush Limbaugh complained about that twenty years ago when he used the word
gravitas to explain someone elses treatment of a certain subject. The
media picked up on that word and that's all you heard for two years. Most
of them didn't even know what the word meant, as they used it out of
context.
