subject: weight loss with a disab

You said it! <-;

The latest - which was closely followed by a new diet-book, wouldn't
you know it - is that a fatty snack, or an occasional boost of sugar
(Glucose/fructos/whatever) is just what the primal doctor ordered.

 GP> Any suggestions?

 JB> None...

CH> Gee. I missed something here. I think one suggestion is to eat less
CH> fat/carbs which are converted to fats for stored energy. If you don't
CH> need a lot of stored energy then eat less that provides it. hmm.
CH> Makes sense to me! Of course however there's the Appetites Problem. We
CH> never feel satisfied without a certain amount of cars/fats because
CH> our bodies are primal wired to eat those things. Our bodies are wired
CH> to store energy for activity. If we are not active then we need to
CH> compensate somehow. Fill ourselves with something satisfying but isn't
CH> fattening. Something substantial. SOmething you can sink your teeth
CH> into. We need that satisfaction as we need air itself.

CH> SO being the clever critters we are we can find a way. hehe. To fool
CH> our primal drives. There's always a way. hmm. Now what might that be.

CH> Natural appetites suppressors include foods high in citric acid
CH> (grapefruit for example). But still the crave for a juicy fat burger
CH> remains. Nuts help but if you overdo this, well you know the story.

CH> hmm. Drinking lots of fluids helps suppress appitite but the teeth want
CH> something! Gum? ugh. But then.

CH> Well I think what we have to do is occupy our brains more when our
CH> bodies can't do what we are primally wired to od. This in of itself
CH> can take our mind off food....

CH> And there's always baby carrots! And Grapes.... :)
