CO> CM> thanks!...hey what are silvertips?....everytime I go to
CO> CM> the gunshow I'm bombarded with a miriad of different types

CO> CM> companies...know anything about shotguns shells?....my
CO> CM> winchester takes 2 & 3/4 or 3 what is the difference
CO> CM> between the two besides the length?..

What, like nosler's ballistic tips? I thought it was from the silver
colored alloy they used as jacket material. In pistols at least, I've
never fired silvertip rifle ammo.
BTW- i recently switched from silvertips to Cor-Bon 135gr JHP in the
defense gun. I'm sure that interests you to no end, but i've used
silvertips in the .40 almost exclusively as a defense round ever since I
got the gun. Why the change? I like the way the 135gr expands even
after hitting obstacles. The silvertips I tested didn't. I was not
impressed.
Live and learn, huh?
Cheers!
CO>of it. They also kick harder because they're throwing more shot. Heck,
I've

Tell me about it... I fired those Brenneke slugs, 1 1/8 ounce, from a
20" barrel in the 870, 1400+ fps, same approximate power factor
(momentum) as a .338 winchester magnum in a gun of the same weight. ANd
I have a feeling you've loaded yours a bit hotter... :-)
