Устаревший.  Closest I could find for a Russian equilvalent of
DOS-think.  Anyhow it still doesn't excuse the usage of cp866 and neither does
this;

That sounds like a cop-out to me.  The above places you at the same level as
Björn Felten and at least one level below Michiel Van Der Vlist on the
capablility scale given that your bragline ... errr ... tearline states, "---
/bin/vi".  You ought to be hanging your head in shame cheapening such fine and
honourable software with substandard encodings.  :::sigh:::

At the very least you owe it to your fellow Russian sysops and show the one
true way.  :::evil grin:::
