I'm not quite that old, but what I was taught in school is as follows:
 
1. Arabian Sea
2. Adriatic Sea
3. Black Sea
4. Caspian Sea
5. Mediterranean Sea
6. Persian Gulf
7. Red Sea
 
Number 6 is the one I alluded to.  Kinda antique stuff, I know, but I still
remember the term "I sailed the 7 seas" from the movies of
yesteryear.  So, you were mostly right.
