No, don't know what they're displaying or getting it from. I know it takes
a moment or so to load. I also can pull access logs and data usage for
previous periods of time. That could all be coming from their databases at
Qwest, which seems more logical.
It could also be reading the database that has the list of the last uploaded list.
No, I don't know the breakout price of the service, as it's all bundled
into our monthly charges. I think we're right around 1200/month for the
T-1, web access at the full T-1 rate, as well as the managed firewall
service, and the use of the box itself. It has a big label on it that says
"Property of Qwest". We needed to notify them that we were going
to physically move the box from our Atlanta office to the Nashville office
last year when we flipped around the connections. Remember, we also used
to have a private Frame relay connection between the two offices that was
part of this whole "mess".. Now we're down to just
the one office, and only remote users connecting via the VPN.
2 of the last 3 people in Atlanta ended their jobs, one the Friday before
Christmas, the other yesterday (Friday 1/7). I don't know how long the
last lady will be there. Our CFO's last day is next Friday. All
accounting tasks and services have now been migrated to the New York
offices of our new company. The biggest transition problem, is that with
the negotiations taking so long, and the end of the year approaching, there
was really no time to do any real "prep" for the changeover. As
Mike said yesterday, it was sort of like on Monday before Christmas, the
co-CEO's walked into the record company in NY, and said "We just
bought Compendia, here's the new COO, and here's a stack of invoices and
bills that need to be paid by 5PM today"...... This is a
merger of co-equals, not one company taking over the other, we're blending
the company. More companies to be added as the year goes on.
