Put a wifi router in each window facing each other. BTW.....if you use the
linksys ones  (WRT54G and WRT54GS) & get the sveasoft linux firmware:

You can massively up the transmitted signal strength.

Also it includes a PPTP VPN server as part of alchemy (along with lots of
other nice things).

The linksys boxes are cheap as is alchemy (I don't know if you'd need 1
subscription per linksys box but I suspect not):
