subject: Early hibernation?

SH>> The stuff we have coming down right now likely will.:-(

SH> It actually disappeared. It was 13ø on Saturday

Same here. It's gone now and it's 10.

SH> Whitehorse is dry and 50 cm snow would be a lot. But we can expect snow
SH> to be with us from late October to early April.

That's far to long

BF>> I can't complain and we try to south as often as we can. My wifes joints
BF>> in hands are totally worn out after 25 years in the old peoples care
BF>> (hope you understand this) and the only help to get

SH> I assume this means she injured her hands while caring for ould ladies.

Not really, they are worn out. No calcium left in the joints so the nerves get
irritated all time and then her hand became stiff and almost unable to move.
And they even get swollen and once when they should x-ray them the machine
was almost unable to see through. They had to do it at max power.

SH> I'll have to find out from my wife who is beginning to suffer from
SH> arthritis if a warmer climate would treat her better. As for me, I'm
SH> still reasonably healthy at least for the moment although my eyes are
 SH> giving me trouble.

It's no treatment to go south, there is no treatment at all but the weather is
more stabil there. She told me yesterday that a lowpreassure is coming and
when we looked at the weater on TV she was right. She is better then the
metrolog to tell the weather. And when the left big-toe hurts it will snow.
And as I said, there are no treatment, no surgical operation, no nothing to do.
It's just to live with it and go to a stabil warmer climate as often as possible.
She can even apply at the regional social insurance office to let them pay for
theese trips. They have a home on the Canary Island where they send cases
like this for free and then only I have to pay for me.
