Hi Val,

You might want to practice this using embroidery thread first to get the hang
of it. I found that after wrapping the thread around the needle, if I held
on to the thread (that I had just wrapped) a short way (abt 1") from the
needle, it
keeps the thread from loosening back up as the needle is re-inserted into the
fabric. When all the excess thread has been pulled through to where you are
holding, then lightly continue holding so the thread will pull through, but
what is on the needle won't loosen.
I was not happy with french knots for many years until I lucked into this
trick.

Have you seen the stamps by Stamps Happen, Inc. 369 Acacia Av, Fullerton,
CA 92631
They are absolutely gorgeous. Micheals is carrying them. Sara Goldstein has
one she got and told us about. On a recent trip, I stopped at Micheals and
got
3. Fortunately, they were 25% off.
I'm hope they have a catalog that is available. Just realized I had the
complete addy for them

What a great idea. Thanks! It could even be carried further by creating
different scenes and listing what stamps were used. Then, when the brain
won't
function, there's something to fall back on..............
Happy crafting,
Donna
