Why do you need a log to tell you what -you- have been doing?  Don't trust
yourself?  
Try something like this for a command line for a local node:
max -n3 -l  "-jyourname;y;yourpassword"
This will log you in on a node 3, with no logging.  Of course, you'd want to
use this, along with the proper aftercall checking for tossing mail you've
written, etc, etc.
