I didn't run it under windows, it was a very simple device, you plug it
into the USB port, boot the CD, check the status of the backup drive device
(that would mean you watch for the green swirly light), then press the
"system backup" button and it does it's thing. You don't even use
the keyboard on the computer.

It did work for both the backup and bare metal restore and it was simple
enough a 10 year old could have done it, however the 10 year old would be a
16 year old if they were backing up and restoring a full 250gb..
