Actually the answer to your dilemma is actually quite simple.
the Authors just gave up or died and did not put their source into the public
domain for other opus programmers to work on it. OFAM is in this catagory as
well.
There is two possible answers. one is a nice one. the other
is not so nice, Actually there is THREE.
1. Develop your own version using the Opus 1.70 structures
info, or contact the last known programmers address and see if he would like
someone else to take over development. in either case. programming time.
2. Switch to another bbs that does have current support (ducking)
3. using a Disassembler decompile the original EXE files and
working from the generated .ASM code recreate your own patched release.
obviously the last one can and would take one a long time
to muddle through C's convoluted ASM output. but if one is deperate enough.
(reminds of Yosemite sam opening all those doors (bugs says, Wonder if he is
stubborn enough to open all those doors?,,,, BOOM! Yep, he is stubborn
enough" ;)
