From: "Glenn Meadows"
Deathknell for Ardour, if SAE is backing it.
Their schools turn out tons of non-functioning recording engineers, who
mostly are "Bob Clearmountain" (top engineer) wana-be's. With a
hugely shrinking studio business, just what we need, MORE engineers who
know very little, but think they know it all.
Ardour is a good tool though, I've yet to play with it, but the development
group is a good bunch of folks. It also runs on multiple OS's, so it's
very "agnostic" in that regards.
