I have a few directories I want a backup of that also removes old files, such
as msg-bases, that may no longer be in the dir, but were in the previous *.Zip
file. So I start by deleting specific subdirectories from the previous *.Zip
file. Then add anything new or changed. This is much faster than just Zip
everything from scratch, since Zip simply skips over all files that have not
changed. What I get is an incremental backup in a Zip file that can be
UnZip'd for a full restore of each of those dirs.

--- BackUp.cmd ---
zip -d l:\Adept.zip \Mailer\*
zip -d l:\Mr2i.zip \mail\* \ME\* \SENT\*
zip -d l:\Te.zip \TERMAIL\SAVE\* \TERMAIL\ECHO\*
f:
cd\adept
zip -o -r -u -9 l:\Adept.zip *
cd\mr2i
zip -o -r -u -9 l:\Mr2i.zip *
j:
cd\te
zip -o -r -u -9 l:\Te.zip *
g:
cd\so
zip -o -r -u -9 l:\so.zip *

Another advantage of Info-Zip/UnZip is that I can UnZip to anywhere on my HD
and just copy a single file or directory of files to my working partition.
The BackUp.Exe that comes with Warp requires it to be restored to the exact
same partition it came from. That's ok for my boot partition, but too large
(time consuming) and not flexible enough for my data and working apps. I find
with Info-Zip that since I can do a BackUp quickly and easily, then I am more
likely to do it more often or in an automated maintenance routine.

Thanks and Good Luck, Andy Roberts
