From: Ellen K. No, it never did it until I installed that software, I'm sure it's trying to automatically register it. I might replace the box with an emachine or something (I like having my serious machine not on the net, although it's inconvenient at times) but I'm not gonna upgrade it to 98, that would probably kill it.
