Hello Michiel,
ak>> And, second -- those fake Russians on Facebook could not influence the
ak>> elections just for a simple reason -- the absence of reputation. I,
ak>> for instance, can also say many ugly things about Clinton and Trump.
ak>> But who am I so that the Americans consider me as a valuable source of
ak>> information? Only fools can.
MvdV> Exactly. In a mature democratcy such attmpts to influence would simply
not
MvdV> work.
Who says the USA is a "mature" democracy? Democracy is chaotic,
often-times confusing, and anything but mature. It would be more
proper to call it mob rule rather than orderly or mature.
What Alexander described is akin to a handful of pranksters throwing
spaghetti on a wall, in hopes of swaying an election their way. Such
juvenile acts do not normally affect a national election, unless all
the candidates running for office are buffoons. Which, in a perfect
storm, is possible.
These alleged Russian pranksters conducted a trial run before the
main event in the USA, by attempting to sway the electorate in the
Netherlands to vote for Gene Wilders. Unfortunately, their efforts
fell short, and the Netherlands is stuck with a less colorful figure
to guide them.
You really need to set up your own Facebook page in order to keep
up with this stuff. The new friends you make will fill you in on the
rest of the story.
MvdV> Other than that: the US has been trying to instigate regime changes all
over
MvdV> the world for the last century.
Regime change. The only time the US succeeded in that endeavor
was when GWB ordered the invasion of Iraq in order to depose Saddam
Hussein.
MvdV> So who are they to complain if others do unto them what they do
themselves
MvdV> unto those others?
The Netherlands invading the USA? You gotta be kidding me.
