The reason I want to use HTML and a web-server is that users should be able
to use their standard web-browser. No reason for accessing a board should be
different from the web. They just set me up as an ISP in their dialler, and
their flying. I see no reason to use HTML without this; if one wants to keep
on using a standard BBS system, why would one want to use a standard with so
much overhead in it as HTML? As I see it, HTML is only a merit if one takes
full advantage of HTML; otherwise MEX/MECCA and standard terminal emulation
is just as good. "My" way the users should not look forever for some terminal
supporting HTML either; just use their favorite browser as usual. One
application to fetch date; whether from a LAN, a BBS or the Web. Well, that's
my reasons for doing it the way I did, anyway.
