That's the drawback I'm looking at right now with regard to getting the 
factory replacement parts from the dealer...
The whole point was to somehow or other try to make it more economical than 
that,  so I wouldn't end up being better off buying another car!
I just *hate* it when things get to that point.
But they've got it rigged,  what with parts prices and such,  so that sooner 
or later you're better off buying something new,  or at least "newer".  This 
'77 is the newest thing that I've owned so far,  though the truck I'm working 
on is a '78.
