We had equally cold weather in Yellowknife but the cold front finally
broke today and it's up to -21. Feels like spring! 

As my granddaughter was born here and doesn't know any other kind of
climate, she finds the complaints of recently trandplanted southerners
amusing. "It doesn't get cold here, just dark."

 SH> My car started and ran well but I had to be sure that the block heater
 SH> was plugged in for 3 hours first.

I also have a battery blanket which helps a lot.

As well I use zero weight synthetic oil instead of 5W20.
