following up a message from Patrick McCullough to George Gibson:

 After getting a little sleep, it occurred to me that you might
 want to specify your own task/node number for local logons.
 Add  -n2 (or number of your choice, other than 1) to the command line.
 Some of the problems you had may be related to Max not being able
 to tell which node was on which task.
 Also, please post the error messages Max is giving you.  May help
 nail down the problem.
