ES>Something just occured to me and set me thinking. Oft times in AA
eetings
ES>within my area I hear the following. "Is anyone having a problem staying
ES>away
ES>from a drink today, a living problem that might lead them to a drink, or a
ES>topic they wish do discuss?" This is a very interesting statement to me.
ES>If
ES>I'm not mistaken we all have some trial and tribulations while living life
ES>on
ES>it's terms. But just becuase there is a little problem I need to clear up
ES>does that mean I need to talk about it at an AA meeting?
I have seen AA work this way for over 20 years. When a person has a
problem, they bring it to the fellowship to hear the ES&H of other
recovering alcoholics.
I have at times been frustrated when some people bring the same problem
to the group week after week. But I try to remember what my sponsor
told me many years ago, "Some are sicker than others". And I try to be
patient.
Have a happy 24!
Bob
