What I'm saying is that Fido isn't the ONLY net run in Fido style...I'm
running a total of 4 nets on may machines...On the ones that are "non-fido"
we do what we want...thats all Im saying. And oh, I'm all too familliar with
the nazi style imposition of various quirks of fido policy. A lot of fido
bases are quite tolerant, and others are quite facist.
Consequently, many other nets have sprung up, and are setup as a fido-style.
There are even programs out there that will scramble the
header/message/footer and allow the insertion of bogus garbage into a base,
and disguise where it came from. Im sure youve seen them, people are
screaming that they didn't post what is showing up, etc. and chaos reigns....
Getting back to PGP and such, as I said, on fido, we comply with their rules,
on the other nets. we don't.
