Don't change the number of partions when expanding the drive. Keep them
the same number, and leave extra unused space when using ghost. Then, when
you bring the system back up on the new drive, add the extra partitions if
you want.
If you go to the new 250 gig and larger, keep all the expanded partions
below 137 (or whatever the magic number is), until you've upgraded the OS,
then there should be a supplied utility with the drive that you'll need to
run to allow full use of the extra space.
At least that's what I've had to do on all my 160 gig and larger drives.
