Hello All,
I hope this is covered in the topics allowed in the echo here.
I was in a car accident a couple of days ago. The accident involved three
cars, all traveling the same direction in the same lane.
Dodge Caravan rear-ends Ford Taurus who rear-ends me.
There is $1250 in damage to my car, but it's drivable and I was not
apparently injured.
The Ford Taurus was a total loss, and the driver was taken away on a
backboard in a neckbrace.
There were two passengers in the van, in addition to the driver... all
hispanic, speaking no english.
Although he was around for a few minutes after the accident occurred, the
driver of the Caravan fled the scene on foot before any police or emergency
vehicles arrived on the scene.
This is my question... how does the legal and or insurance liability work
in a situation like this?
