You haven't heard about the Lake Mungo people???

They were a tribe/race who lived on the shores of the lake quietly fishing
for their sustenance, and skinny dipping in their spare time.

Along came the Aborigines, claimed all the land as their own, and the poor
Mungo mob, dispossed and no place to go, died out within a generation.

It was in all of the newspapers...
