Assuming you are running SEXYZ  version 1.74, This sounds like an issue
with your DSZLOG environment variable not being found.

You did not mention how you are defining this environment variable, but
assuming this is  Windows 2000 or XP it should be defined in
Control Panel > System > Advanced > Environment Variables, under
the "System variables" (not in user variables).

It should look like this:

Variable     Value
DSZLOG    DSZ.LOG

Make sure there is not any path included in the value, so that EleBBS
will look in the current (node) directory for this filename.
After this is defined, close any DOS Windows and reopen them,
including eleserv/telsrv.

You can confirm the environment variable exists by opening a DOS
(command prompt) window and typing "set".
It should show this
DSZLOG=DSZ.LOG

If you are not finding this, then nether will EleBBS.
