-=> Quoting Fred Reich to All <=-
FR> Hi All;
FR> I've been using Juno for about 1 1/2 years now, and I noticed that on
FR> my hard drive that I have about 176 sub directories under "Ads".
FR> So is it safe to delete most of these directories?
FR> I contacted the Juno support system about this, and their automated
FR> system did not give me a direct answer on this.
Delete the entire ADS directory.
JUNO will remake it with the nesseccary files in it, the
next time you start the program.
Get rid of ads permanently (at least in JUNO v1.38)
Change to \JUNO\LIB directory.
Copy JUNOTYPE.MAP to JUNOTYPE.OLD
Using a TEXT editor, open JUNOTYPE.MAP
Delete this line: filetype aa AD_ARCHIVE server
Save file.
JUNO won't know where to put ad files, so they get deleted
with all the other temporary files.
Every once in a while something shows up in:
\JUNO\USER####\GET directory
So check and delete as the case may be.
I expect that JUNO will rectify this "fix" in a future release.
